La Corbeteña (la piedra)
La Corbeteña is world famous as a fantastic fishing destination. La Corbeteña is an underwater mountain surrounded by acres of small tuna and other fish to “bait” the bigger fish where it will challenge any angler.
They say that the biggest and best trophy fish can be found in La Corbeteña. Black Marlin are found in this area and can weigh up to 1,000 pounds. But the Corbeteña does not stop there, you will also find yellowfin tuna of similar weights. Imagine yourself out there wrestling with a 400 pound creature.
el morro
Located just off the northern end of Banderas Bay, this group of rock pinnacles make a great fishing spot. The barnacle-covered rocks attract tuna up to 50 pounds. Sailfish, dorado, and more. Although this area is not a trophy destination, it is close enough to be reached efficiently by pangas and smaller boats and provides good action for migratory fish as well as resident fish.
The proximity is similar to the Marietas Islands, so it is common for both areas to be visited, on a given day, depending on where the fish are biting.

If you want to spend a moment of relaxation in the sea, there is nothing better than snorkeling, an activity that brings tranquility and allows you to explore the biodiversity found in our bay. Recommended for all ages. You will not regret.
Carrilleros
A few kilometers from the coast of Sayulita in what is known as Punta Negra or Carrilleros, its white sands and intense blue sea, little crowded, which makes it very attractive. It is a practically virgin beach in the middle of two high-impact tourist developments. Although it is located in the Pacific, it has whitish sand and a shade of blue in the water that is atypical for the area. The landscape is finished off by a row of copper-colored cliffs that contrast with the rest of the elements.
Snorkeling is an activity that is not to be overlooked, its crystal clear and calm waters during almost the whole year make it a mandatory place to visit.

Every year from the end of November to the beginning of April we are honored to welcome the humpback whale to our area. Once the water temperature changes, they come down with the cooler Alaskan currents to mate and raise their babies.
